Biography: Yingfeng Ji is a Ph.D. student in Development Studies, University of Cambridge. She gained her bachelor degree in International Relations in Beijing Foreign Studies University and MPhil degree in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge. She studied the Central Asian perception of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and China’s political system from 2013 to 2017. Her current research combines the internationalization of Chinese firms in Central Asia, the investment environment of Central Asia states, China’s Belt and Road Initiative and its industrial policy, and global political economy. She focuses on the internationalization of Chinese firms in Central Asia and the interaction between China and Central Asian states under the Belt and Road Initiative.
