Dr Yingfeng Ji is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the ERC-funded GRIP-ARM (Green Industrial Policy in the Age of Rare Metals) project at University of Sussex. She completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge with a dissertation titled Adaptation and Interpretation: The Ongoing Process of the Belt and Road Initiative in China and Kazakhstan, supervised by Prof. Siddharth Saxena. She also holds an MPhil in Development Studies from Cambridge and a BA in International Relations from Beijing Foreign Studies University. She focuses on the internationalization of Chinese firms in Central Asia and the interaction between China and Central Asian states under the Belt and Road Initiative.
