Abstract: This seminar will introduce a number of Digital Humanities methods as basic approaches to research on textual heritage materials. The focus will be on creating descriptive data for reuse and discussing the role of bibliographical standards as known from extant catalogues. We will talk about the creation of base data and its impact on generating new research questions. It will also cover some aspects of provenance in relation to cultural heritage and the impact of historic attribution as reflected in library collections.
Everyone is welcome.
