Biographies:

Dr K. Kluczewska is a visiting research fellow at the Collaborative Research Centre “Dynamics of Security”, Justus-Liebig University Giessen (Germany); and an associate research fellow at the Laboratory for Social and Anthropological Research, Tomsk State University (Russia). Her current research investigates development aid and interactions between international and local actors in Tajikistan in the field of healthcare. She has practical work experience in the development sector, including at the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Dr L. Lombardozzi is a Lecturer in Economics at the School of Social Sciences & Global Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at the Open University. She is Co-Director of IKD: Innovation, Knowledge and Development Research Centre. She completed her PhD thesis in Economics at SOAS, University of London (fully funded by SOAS Economics dpt.) with a title ‘A nexus between the role of the state, market transition and food consumption: The case of Uzbekistan’. Lorena holds a MSc from SOAS in Political Economy of Development. She is an affiliate of the GCRF COMPASS, Centre of Development Studies, University of Cambridge.

Dr U. Majidi has had 10 years of experience in social and political development in Central Asia, monitoring and evaluation, and partnerships with various executive and cross-sector levels. He is skilled at civil society capacity building, building communication and developing action-oriented policies for multiple stakeholders. He has in-depth knowledge of public sector, Open Budget Index, anti-corruption, transparency and accountability regulatory frameworks, and in international project management in Central Asia. Trained and educated in Indonesia, India, Bulgaria and the UK.

S. Mowlds is a consultant and Research Affiliate to the Cambridge Central Asia Forum. Her research has focused on food and nutrition security for rural and marginalised people. She aims to understand how complexity sciences can be applied to policies relating to food systems and climate justice. As independent consultant working with international organisations, NGOs, and the private sector, she’s developed monitoring and evaluation frameworks, managed the launch of an open-sourced knowledge-sharing online platform and contributed to UN evaluations and reports. She’s worked as Expert for the EU Economic and Social Committee’s Rapporteur on climate justice and for the European Commission in assessing citizen-driven food system projects in European cities.
