Communications and Events Administrator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

The Centre of Development Studies within the Department of POLIS, is seeking to appoint a part-time, fixed-term Communications and Events Administrator. The successful applicant will assist Dr Siddharth Saxena on the implementation of his research funded project entitled 'Comprehensive Capacity-Building in the Eastern Neighbourhood and Central Asia: research integration, impact governance and sustainable communities'. The project sets to establish 'regional hubs of excellence' at the top-level Higher Education Institutions in Belarus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, in order to develop research partnerships, and help improve their governance, impact and outreach capacity.

The role-holder will be responsible for coordinating internal and external communication of the project, and will support Dr Saxena in his role as a Co-Investigator of the project. The role will involve regular communication with the Executive and Steering Groups of the project, and liaison with partner-institutions in the four afore-mentioned countries.

In addition to coordinating and updating a calendar of activities and events, the successful candidate will contribute towards the smooth running of the collaborative project, enabling communication between partners, funders and relevant stakeholders and provide administrative support to the Executive Group in the implementation of the project.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
