Cambridge Central Asia Forum

 

 ‘Working together for a sustainable future’

2018 Annual Research Forum for Central Asia, which will be held on March 23, 2018 at the University College London, London, UK and on April 6, 2018 at Nazarbayev University, Astana, Kazakhstan. This Forum is the fifth in the annual series initiated by Kazakhstani students and scholars in the UK and the first Research Forum organized on the basis of UK event by Nazarbayev University
alumni. The main goal of the annual meeting is to bring together scholars, educators, emerging researchers, PhD and Master students interested and engaged in study, research and scholarly work across the various disciplines in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries.

The Forum provides a great opportunity for discussing contemporary issues, exchanging views, sharing ideas, advancement of learning and networking. The Forum will include paper presentation and poster presentation sessions. We would like to invite you to take part in the 2018 Research Forum as a presenting author.

If you would like to present a paper or a poster please submit the Proposal Registration Form (see Appendix) to: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=veurasianresearchfor

By 9 February so that your presentation can be included in the program.

If you would like to participate in this event without a presentation please get your ticket (nonrefundable) via Eventbrite (see Appendix) by 23 February so that a more detailed program and travel instructions can be provided. The participant fee* is £20 (non-refundable), which includes lunch and coffee-breaks.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. We look forward to meeting you and hope that this event can help you to create connections with other professionals.

Abstract submission details: -

-Only abstracts submitted in English will be accepted.

- Abstracts shall have creative contents. - An abstract must be submitted by the presenting author.

- A maximum of two abstracts can be submitted per presenting author.

- Abstracts must not exceed 250 words (excluding the title, name, affiliations).

- All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use.

- Abstracts should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar.

- To be formally accepted, abstract author must be registered to attend the Conference.

Presentation Types

Abstracts may be submitted for one of the following presentation types:

1. Oral: A 15-minute spoken presentation, including Q&A session.

2. Poster presentation: Posters will be presented and the accepted presenters will be provided with instructions on poster requirements. Delegates will be able to view all accepted posters at the designated area during the event.

Due to some space and technical constraints, there is a possibility that the presenter may be requested by the Organizing Committee to switch the presentation type.

Terms and Conditions

The submission of an abstract indicates an understanding of the following rules for participation in Research Forum:

- All author(s) approve submitting this work for presentation.

- At least one author will be available to present the abstract if selected for the program.
