    on

    Date: 30 October 2020

    Time: 11-1pm

Venue: Webinar (Zoom link on request from pk315@cam.ac.uk)

Biography: Emma Dick is Senior Lecturer in Visual Culture, Fashion at
Middlesex University and Director of Projects & Training for SPINNA
Circle, a non-profit organisation working to empower women in fashion
and textiles globally.  Her research practice aims to bring together the
disciplines of textiles, business, and development and is often focused
geographically in Asia (Bhutan, Turkey, Central and South-East Asia).
She is interested in how issues of the postcolonial collide with ideas
of the postmodern to foreground issues of ethics and appropriation in
