Cambridge Central Asia Forum

 

The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute is an inter-governmental organization with a mission to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the economic cooperation in the CAREC region (Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, People's Republic of China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) by providing evidence-based research, capacity building services and networking with research institutions. CAREC program is supported by six development partners that include, Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) International Monetary Fund (IMF), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the World Bank.

 

Annual think tanks development forum is a flagship event of the CAREC Institute (CI) that serves as a platform for think tanks, universities, governments and development partners to deliberate upon key policy issues facing the region. The 4th think tanks development forum will be held on 27-28 August 2019 in Xi’an, Shanxi Province of the People’s Republic of China under the banner of “Trading for Shared Prosperity.”
